Secondary One NPCC Annual Swearing-In Ceremony

I made my way down to Greenridge Secondary and bought 3 tubes of mentos as I thought of giving the cadets to eat after the event. Sadly, I gave the aunty the wrong amount of cash. It was $0.90 each, yet I gave her $2.10.

Okay, back at Greenridge, I hoped the parade hasn't end. I went up, changed in my full uniform, all ready to enjoy the parade. The AC of Area 19 was there, saying his speech which ended shortly after my arrival.
And 'oh', I thought. I have to change into pt kit then. So I went back to the toilet but somehow it just wouldn't open. I was so embarrassed when other cadets walked pass seeing me trying to 'bang' the door open. Thankfully, one of them kindly told me that the staff toilet is locked, then did I realise I tried to open the WRONG DOOR. Lol.

Skip skip skip.... Let's skip to the Singing Competition. Our school has two brave Secondary 1 cadets who volunteered to represent our school - Izzul and Nadia.

I can say that they really did their best. For Izzul, I heard that he sang pretty well before going up on stage. But because of some technical problems, he wasn't able to perform his best. It was sad. It's all the song's fault! Why wasn't it in the disc? Hmm.. Nah.. No one's to blame.

For Nadia, she was shaking..! I saw her shaking as she walks down the stage. haha..
Anyway, it was a tremendously good effort put in. What's more!
YISS WON THE CHEERING COMPETITION! We were first with Fajar Secondary.

A total of 26 cadets were present there and then.

They were a super hyper group when they can be one.
(ok.. I don't know what I'm saying)

I have one more photo to upload which I have not gotten it from Ms Kala. It has me inside! !! ;D
I'll upload it when I get it.

Oh yes, about the mentos. .. I decided to give one each to the two singers.

Feeling excited.

I went back to YISS to prepare the Sec1 NPCC cadets for tomorrow's Annual Swearing-in. I feel so relaxed speaking to them. I feel excited about tomorrow just that I need to rush to Greenridge Secondary School before the parade starts. I just can't wait to hear my cadets sing as they represent our school in the singing contest. And of course hoping that the cheers would just turn out fine . .

I want to learn how to use drill cane to do drills. Kind of cool. Someone please teach me.

I am trying to find back that passion and enthusiasm I have for NPCC.
Get it back. Get it back. Get it back man..

Today is special.

Today is special. CRS class ended at 16:00PM and as usual, I would like to find a quiet spot to do some revision. There, I switched on my laptop and got ready to start on my first topic. While skimming through the pages of my notes, I heard footsteps. Two well-dressed ladies approached me and asked if they could use my laptop to retreive some documents from their gmail and send for printing.

Being kind, I said, "Ok."

After meddling with my laptop, they asked for my admin number. (hmm.. something's fishy here. ..) Well, I didn't give. Also, my lappie could not connect to the printer they wanted to connect. Well, too bad. Then, they asked for a thumbdrive. I saw that they really needed to print those documents urgently, so I lend to them worrying that they wouldn't return. (But not really worrying). After a long wait, I realised they were back. And.. Back with a can of milo.

"Na.. This is for you."

"Oh, thank you."

I've got a milo in return for my kindness. Gees.
It was that milo that spent the time with me for the rest of an hour before my next lesson at night.
That's why, today is special. (:

Bee in a Soup?

Dancing is fabulously fun. We were at O School again as we continued the choreography. The 1 hour practice felt like 2 hours. And now my neck and hips are acheing. hahAHE. I want to learn as much as I can now. Even though not much technics are in our choreo, like shur-ney, piorette, high kicks, but I still enjoy much. Now to do some research and ensure I look like a scary corpes arising from the dead. muhahaha! I hope to personally OWN the choreo!!!!!! (just as Ryan said)

I was just pondering on what Ryan said before he dismissed us: Make sure you teach them ah.. The 'them' is refering to the 6 of us? Or the 'them' is refering to all the modern girls? Do I have to make sure all of 'them' learn by Monday? Hmm.. This, I have to really check with him again.

Herbal soup for the day was some herbs with some dead bee. EEEWW.. Help! No way.. Imagine drinking the soup and you see some hairy insect legs moving closer to your lips. What's worst, a black, black, round, round thing which is the head. GAW . . ! Anyway, we postponed that herbal drink to another day. Instead, we had a warm bak-ku-teh soup. AHHHHH> . ..

Leader?

This was the first time people in SP called me a leader. I thought of remaining a low profile for a while and letting people be the leader for sometime.

It's my first time in O School. My fine dreams of it being a huge hall with many smaller rooms was slightly tarnished. There were smaller rooms but no huge halls. But I love the floor. It's so clean, unlike MPH. ;) No wonder Ryan says MPH is full of dust.

We're going to do a glamourous yet a bit of horror side effect. Somehow we'll just have to do it. I like it. haha.. We have to do actions with force, looking like some kind of zombie. Wicked awesome!

More to come tomorrow... more to come.. . :D

A valuable lesson learnt yesterday and today:
I learnt that I should not laugh at inappropriate timings or else I will be questioned.
And when questioned, I'll be dumbfounded.
Which is not a good position to be in.

done for it.

My nose bled. Once last night and twice today.
I've completed the Mid Year Youth Departments' Evaluation. Yeah..

Where can I sleep now?

Here I am in camp, sick. Having this dreadful flu. Should I have come for Day1? Should I have stayed at home to rest? Yesterday, we did nothing much except going to bugis to buy leotards, going to orchard and tire myself. I was in search for food for the entire trip while others were in search for clothes and assessories. hmm.. I want to sleep and rest my body. But I can't. I don't know what time will they dance until. Where can I sleep now?

They dance almost all night. Incredible.. I laid in my army sleeping bag trying to get some rest. Then, voices from a distance intruded into my sleep. And they got louder, louder and louder. "Save me!" I cried to myself.

Soon, music blasted like never before. I wanted to courteously ask to lower down, but I wimped out. After 3hours, I forced myself into dreamland..
I'm awake! It's 8am. I feel much better. No more flu!! Yipee. We got prepared for dance practice. I like today's warm ups because almost everything done was almost near the floor.

I've decided to go home.

OH deAR.

Today I went to HQ and I am definitely still lost in that huge area of white buildings. I found out how to get to the store, realised that some FI's office is just beside it and didn't realised that time passes so fast when I was just helping to pack badges.

It wasn't that bad. Quite relaxed. Thank God the FI wasn't at all fierce? Can I say that? haha//.
I was treated to chocolate cookies? (so good..?) and got a gift - some keychain? (which was stated 'I have extra ma..').
This is just weird. Maybe it's just nothing. Anyway, I can listen to my mp3 while doing duty. As if I'm back in YISS, helping out the teachers in their offices. Oh yea, don't know whether his hands clean or not.. After eating a cookie then push my head once. EEee.. And I saw IT!. YES! IT IS DEFINITELY IT. A housefly in the office. WAHAHHAHUHU.. And I had to fan it off a few times. Hmm.. I have to go back on Tuesday to clog more hours. I better get it right this time.

Well, on the way back, I realised how extremely noob I was in directions and roads. OH deAR.
