GREAT

Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise!
It improved without any extra things, just rest and more rest..
I had many reminders by Jie Cheryl to "GO AND STUDY!"
I did and didn't listen. I studied a little and may suffer for tomorrow's preliums.

My room's air-con is fixed, no more stuffiness,
however it's only switched on for 2hours.
Social Studies prelium paper was rather ok. I studied.
But I didn't have time for the last source-based question.
What a waste. >____<

I feel better today. There's no test today. Thank God.
I can walk a little faster now instead of just looking at my friends' back moving further and further away from me. Don't walk so fast. I'm still behind.

I almost fell down the stairs. Thank God for holding me tight.
I can hear people giggling behind me and I don't feel good about it.

Mrs Chiam was asking "When do you want me to return your papers?"
Least that I've expected, she can hear me saying "after O'levels".
woah~ She has sharp ears.
It was horrible.

Cooperate Prayer and Fast.

I kept reminding myself not to be tempted to stuff food into my mouth.
Many people ask: "Huh? Christians also fast ah?"
Yes! We do! On my church bulletin I read a couple of things why we fast.

So.. Why do we fast?

1) It is expected of us by the Lord. The Lord Jesus Himself fasted and He also taught fasting to His disciples.
Matthew 6:6 "When you fast, do not look somber..."

2) Fasting intensifies prayer, it increases mental alertness and spiritual discernment, and leads to and enables a discipline life.
1 Corinthians 9:27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

3) To seek God's direction. We seek to hear what God has to say.
Ezra 8:23 So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He answered our prayer.

4) To humble and submit ourselves to God.
Joel 2:12-14
verse12 "Even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning."
verse13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.
verse4 Who knows? He amy turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing - gain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God.

5) Other reasons
a. Personal santification and consecration
b. Intercession
c. Deliverance
d. Worship, preaching, teaching, etc..

Geez. Now you know why we fast..right?

I so called "lost my bag" twice today. I left my bag on the floor, the next minute when I turn around, it was moved further away from me. So I took it and shifted it back. Not long I totally disappeared. Searching high and low, I started to worry.

Where can it be?
Is someone playing a trick on me?
How can it be?
No one moved around.

It was then when one of my friend realised that Luke bag was here yet he left already.
Oh. So it's him who swope bag with me. Then, I was relieved. Phew~

Back from Emath Mock Paper One. It's really tough. Half of the time I was troubled, circling the questions I couldn't answer. The other half of the time, I'm just waiting for the time to quickly past or slow down. Oh no! I'm going to fail!!! Nevermind, lets all do our best the next round!

Rambutans!

It's been a long time since I went to Pastor's house. My intention was to finish my homework, which means no basketball game that day. :(

Anyway... I got a chance to swing bambo sticks high up. Left and right it went, aiming to hit the right spot for a red, fresh, hairy thing to drop down. Yes! I did it. I first time plucking rambutans! It's quite fun though. Kor Gareth climbed the tree and helped us to get some down as well. It was tough. One couple came down as if they were experts it in already. The guy climbed up the tree like he ever climbed before. Up he went like a monkey, getting many rambutans down. Thank God they were kind souls. They donated some of their rambutans to us. What a great time to get my mind away from Mathematics for a while.

Later on, we were told that it's government property, if we get caught, we're in trouble. Thank God we weren't. We had a hard time hiding them so as not to let others eye on them. After I broke fast, yahoo! I can enjoy the "winnings" we had.

Managing Emotions

You must be wondering what are these.. These are some things I learn about Managing EMOTIONS during one of my youth lessons. I learn that I should get rid of my rights to be angry, also, not to let my life depend on my emotions.

It's pretty hard to help her see who raised up their hand first. Because it means I have to widen my eye's view. The 3 people who are the most kiasu are Kengyong, Yongchee and Nirmal.

I'm really speechless having seen what Jiaxin and Soyoung got for Sifra's birthday - TWO HAMSTERS! Oh my!! I was jumping for joy in my heart for her. So nice to see happy people.
The last thing I wish for them is just hoping these 3 people study hard and don't skip class.

I drew this last night for Mrs Barnwell. It's on the envelope of a card that our Literature class people got for her.

Got told off by my Mom though for not sleeping early :D

OH.

Thank God! My ceremic sink is in good shape. Just pray that He'll let me make the right decisions for the outcome of my first ever O'level work. For the rest of my fellow art students, jiayo! Chiong AH!!

Yanjun! You can do it!! Her best record of 19+ minutes of 2.4metres. Nevermind.. Next time aim a little higher then you're about to pass! This is your last year! Cherish it~

My group for Chemistry lesson is very interesting, almost every question they can debate over it. We did a worsheet together and all different opinions until we came to a final decision. So interesting..

I can't believe I told part of my class "My Most Embarrassing Moment". It was our English lesson and we had to put to practice delaying the resolution of a story, using vivid words to put some twist in it. I am glad that I was able to delay and not reveal what's coming next. Anyway, Those that know it.. Shh... I trust you people not to breathe a word about it. Do you hear me?! ha-ha. Those that did not, too bad.

The AVA was an ice breg. The atmosphere was shivering silently. Harsh~ An examination is going on.. The last page was empty for most of my classmates, at least I did the first part of the last question.

Something I learnt during my Prayer and Fast:
God sees through all superficiality. Christian rituals and ministry-busyness without heart transformation is profoundly offensive to Him. Merely going through the motions of religious piety is false worship. It is prideful and pretentious.

More Studying

Yes! For a total of 20marks, I have got [12 divide by 2 multiply by 6 minus (6 times 3)] for my Literature! Nevermind if you're lazy to calculate. =)

I've got lots to improve on.

After one week delayed, we finally got down to our Organic Chemistry test. I am really confident in Chapters 21-23. Guilty of not studying the other 2 chapters, I was stuck on questions on Chapters 24-25. Hope I did well for my test.

Today is the start of our Forty Days Prayer and Fast. I came to realise it only after dinner. Oh dear~
